Surrounded by ancient Lake Otjikoto and the famous wildlife conservation area Etosha Pans National Park, Namibia, Uris Safari Lodge can be reached in 5 hours by car from Windhoek. Over 120 years ago “diggers” or prospectors spent their days under the relentless Namibian sunshine, exploring the possibilities. The remains of stripped mine headgear and remnants from old operations on lime rock and dolomite formations, can still be seen on this raw and unspoiled land.

From Windhoek travel north on B1 towards Tsumeb and turn left at the Grootfontein - Namutoni intersection towards Etosha National Park. Follow the B1 for approximately 10km (6 miles) and turn left at the Uris Safari Lodge entrance sign. Follow that gravel road and well indicated signs for approximately 10km (6 miles) until you reach a stone wall, turn left again and drive approximately 4km (2.4 miles) until you reach Uris Safari Lodge.
