Uris Safari Lodge is situated in a birding and wildlife hotspot within Etosha National Park. On an Etosha safari in Namibia, guests explore by car, on foot, pedal / quad bike or donkey cart. Exclusive mine tours, day trips and wellness facilities are also available. Guided excursions within Etosha National Park can be arranged.
The grounds of Uris Safari Lodge and the area surrounding Tsumeb have long associations with mining and prospecting. This Namibian lodge is the only one to offer on-site comprehensive mining tours at 3 different mines - one is underground with plenty of relics. Geological tours are available on request.
On sightseeing excursions to Tsumeb, guests on a Namibia Safari can visit the Tsumeb Museum, with its extensive historical and geological displays, a Cultural Village, Arts and Crafts Centre, De Wet Shaft and the Tsumeb Upper Levels, Smelter and Mine. Others include trips to Otjikoto Lake, Guinas Lake, Hoba Meteorite, Grootfontein Museum and African Baobab Trees.
The Tschudi area in the Otavi Mountain land is renowned as a natural breeding area and habitat of the statuesque Eland antelope. Before sunset, guests can take a nature drive to see Eland, Kudu, Duiker, Steenbok and a variety of nocturnal animals. On guided walks, Warthog, Jackal and Baboon can be seen as well as wonderful examples of Namibia's exquisite trees.
On a cultural excursion, Uris Safari Lodge can arrange a tour to the Hai//om Bushman village near Lake Otjikoto. At present the guests are guided through the local village and entertained by the local Hai//om school children through traditional singing and dancing.
Conference, wedding and special function facilities:
The function co-ordinator can assist with planning gorgeous wedding celebrations, focused team-building conferences, glittering functions and intimate getaways.
Uris Lodge has a state of the art air-conditioned conference room, seating up to 80 delegates in theatre style. The room is fully equipped with all the standard conference facilities. The function hall can be utilised for functions or as an interdenominational chapel.

Wellness treatments are offered by a professional health and beauty therapist in the lodge’s intimate salon. Outdoor massages, de-stress and detoxification packages are on the treatment menu.
