Very much a community joint venture in the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Conservancy in Damaraland, Namibia, this lodge gives a wonderful insight into the area’s past and present. Every guest contributes to the community by simply staying overnight and enjoying the facilities.
This Damaraland accommodation in Twyfelfontein creates work for the local community and also supports an industrious needlework group. The Twyfelfontein Country Lodge staff choir proudly sings and dances for guests at dinner. These traditional Damara-Nama songs are all community favourites which have been recorded onto a CD. Proceeds from sales of the CD go back to the choir fund for future development.

The lodge in the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Conservancy in Damaraland, Namibia is located approximately 100km (6 miles) west of the small town of Khorixas. Guests can self-drive or fly-in.
Access is along the district road C39. Turn off at D2612 before joining route D3254 which has indicators to the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. Co-ordinates for the lodge's gravel airstrip are 20:34S, 14:22E. The airstrip is 2.2km (1.3 miles) long.
