Susuwe Island Lodge, surrounded by the sinuous Kwando River, offers equally intense game viewing for large migrant herds of Elephant and Buffalo, Leopard, Sable and Roan antelope, Tsessebe, Lechwe, Lion, Hyena and Wild Dog, just to name a few.

Guests can enjoy game drives in 4x4 open vehicles in the Bwabwata National Park during your Namibia safari. Night drives give amazing insight into the African bush. Wonderful and informative guided walks are possible specifically to view game, but with the emphasis on learning about the environment.

Boat trips and cruises on the Kwando River and backwaters are preferable at sunset or sunrise - to game view, bird watch, fish, or just purely to relax. Unusual resident and migrant birds live in this area. The river, surrounding floodplains and savannahs offer special sightings such as Wattled crane, Raquet tailed rollers, Wood Owls, African Crakes.
