Okonjima (from the Herero word meaning place of the Baboons) is located in the unspoilt beauty of the Omboroko Mountains, near the Waterberg Plateau, about halfway between Windhoek, and Etosha National Park in Namibia. The reserve covers 4000 hectares.

Namibia is a vast country and time is needed to see all the wondrous sights of natural beauty. Okonjima is a perfect place to stop before or after a trip to Etosha National Park in the north, a visit to Swakopmund - 'Little Bavaria' - at the coast, a fly-in safari to the orange sand dunes of Sossusvlei or the remote Skeleton Coast.

Okonjima Luxury Lodge is a mere 2 ½ hour’s drive north of Windhoek in Namibia on the B1. To those coming from the south on the B1, take the gravel turn-off to the left – just after the sign “Otjiwarongo 50km” (31 miles). To those coming from the north on the B1, take the gravel turn-off to the right, just after the sign “Okahandja 130 kilometers” (80.7 miles). This turn-off is approximately 48 kilometers (29.8 miles) south of Otjiwarongo, and is marked “Okonjima 24 kilometers” (14.9 miles).
