Arrive at the Windhoek International Airport where you will be met by a representative of Transfer Excellence that will transfer you to your night’s accommodation at Hotel Furstenhof. Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia is often described as a city with a ‘continental’ atmosphere. This can be ascribed to its architecture – historical buildings dating back to the German colonial rule – as well as to its cuisine, culture, dress-codes and educational institutions.

At Hotel Furstenhof a homely atmosphere will welcome you. The Hotel has double rooms and boasts with French and German cuisine and also gourmet game dishes of Namibia. You will also be able to order a fine choice of selected South African wines over dinner.

Day 2: Mowani Mountain Camp, Twyfelfontein, Namibia

After breakfast at leisure meet your pilot and commence on your flight to Damaraland where you arrive by midday. Mowani Mountain Camp is set in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy between the Ugab and Huab Rivers. Discover the pool deck, lodged between the boulders where you can soak up the sun whilst enjoying a refreshing drink and admire the breathtaking views from your deck chair. Lunch is followed by siesta and an afternoon excursion to the ancient rock engravings of Twyfelfontein. Return to the camp for sundown’s and dinner. Mowani is taken from the word Míwane, meaning ‘Place of God’, and it is here, that you will find the true meaning of peace and tranquility.

From the moment you arrive at Mowani, you will be spoiled with the services and attention of our excellent staff that will go out of their way to make your stay as unique and enjoyable as humanly possible. Mowani Mountain Camp consists of luxury tents, all with en-suite facilities, decorated beautifully in East African style. The luxury tents are a great source of relaxation. Comfortably hidden in your own private hide-away, you will be pampered by crisp white linen, en-suite bathrooms, and of course your own wooden deck offering an open view of the wonderful Damara landscape.

Day 3 & 4: Okahirongo Elephant Lodge, Kaokoland, Namibia

After a sumptuous breakfast meet your pilot and commence on your flight to the remote North-West of Namibia. Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is situated in the Kaokoland, often described as one of the last truly wild areas in the North West of Namibia and it features beautiful mountain landscapes and rugged tranquillity. The lodge, in Purros Conservancy, is a no risk malaria destination and they share their place with both Namibia's Himba and Herero people. Okahirongo offers a highly sophisticated desert experience for a maximum of 18 guests.

The lodge has a spectacular wraparound view and you can enjoy your stay by either lazing around the swimming pool, reading a book in the cool comfort of the library, or relaxing in one of the two openair lounges or having a body massage. The menu changes daily, a delicious fusion of Italian and African cuisine. In the evenings dinner is served by candlelight in one of the two dining rooms or in the fire-lit traditional Namibian “boma” under the stars. The Kaokoland is the only place in the world where the elephants, black rhinos, giraffes, lions and other African animals live in a desert area.

Day 5: Sikeretti Camp, Khaudum National Park, Namibia

Today you will experience a tour to the Khaudum National Park. The duration is minimum two days with one night camping at Sikeretti Camp. The southern entrance to the Khaudum National Park is only 59km to the north of Tsumkwe, but this is a 2-hour drive. This park is home to the endangered Roan Antelope and Wild Dogs as well as thousands of Elephant.

It also preserves the woodland savannah ecosystem which is characteristic of North Eastern Namibia. The animals are not very visible; because of the dense bush and the fact that they only need to visit the water holes when all the little pans in the bush have dried up. It is therefore best to visit the park in the dry season. Full board tented accommodation will be supplied in normal igloo tents.

Days 6 - 8: Serra Cafema Private Camp, east of the Kunene river mouth, Namibia

You will depart the Khwaudum National park early back towards Tsumkwe Lodge from where you will charter to Serra Cafema. The private camp, Serra Cafema - named after Angola's biggest mountain range in the south-west - is situated approximately 65km to the east of the Kunene river mouth, directly on the southern banks of the mighty river.

Serra Cafema is unique in this area and a paradise for every nature and bird lover (approximately 50 different bird species directly at the camp). You will be accommodated in fully equipped 'Meru' walk-in tents, with en-suite bathrooms. The tents are nestled under big and shady 'Ana' trees where you can enjoy your stay in a relaxing atmosphere.

During boat trips, one can watch the Kunene crocodiles sunbathing on the riverbanks. Besides the breathtaking landscape scenes enjoyed on 4x4 drives in Hartmann Valley, the Kunene River is the optimal place for bird observing. With the relaxing surroundings, the Kunene River is the ideal spot for hobby anglers. Walking trails in the remote mountain- and river valleys will leave everlasting impressions. Furthermore the native Ovahimba families often visit the camp.
