Days 12 & 13: Onguma The Fort, Fischer's Pan, bordering Etosha, Nomibia After some time inside the Etosha National Park, continue through the Park passing Namutoni RestCamp towards the Von Lindequist Gate. You will find the entrance to Onguma on your left just a few meters after the von Lindequist (Namutoni) Gate. The Fort is a fort situated on Fischer's Pan, bordering on the Etosha Park in Namibia. At Onguma The Fort, you will encounter friendly staff, massive raw walls, stunning stone clad features and a huge tower with the best views over Etosha and its pans.
This Fort blends a classical African feeling a touch of Morocco and India, this is epitomised in a selection of the most beautiful antique windows and doors. Inside the tall, cool, roughly plastered walls, a courtyard and a large water feature will refresh the senses. Across the courtyard is a spacious beautifully decorated lounge and open air dining room. A large wooden deck leads outside, with scattered romantic seating spaces, in full view of the waterhole where many species of Buck, Giraffe, Lion, Zebra and Birds come to drink.  Meals are served on either the viewing deck, at the outside dining area, around the lantern-lit pool at night, or inside the courtyard at the water feature. The accommodation at Onguma is in mini-Suites, all situated adjacent to the Main Fort extending on both sides to the south and the north. Every Suite is completely private with a main bedroom and dressing room area, all open plan and equipped with a bar fridge, telephone and an air cooling system for those warmer days.
The spacious bathroom with some added privacy has both an inside shower as well as an outside shower area. From every area of the room, wooden decks lead you towards the outside seating area and sun loungers for just relaxing and enjoying the extraordinary view. Day 14: Okonjima Campsite, Otjiwarongo area, NamibiaAfter some quality time near the famous Etosha National Park, drive south via the towns of Outjo and Otjiwarongo. Drive through Otjiwarongo and a further 46 km until having the sign of Okonjima, turn off here, right for a further 25 km to Okonjima. Days 15 & 16: Villa Moringa Guesthouse, Windhoek Leaving Okonjima, backtrack to the main road, turn left on the B 1 and continue south via the town of Okahandja. Entering the town by turning left into Voortrekker road; pass the craft market and later the military museum on your left. At the next junction, turn right into Martin Neib Street and continue all the way by joining up with the B 1 towards Windhoek.
