Etosha National Park ActivitiesGame-drives and game-viewing on the waterholes in the Etosha Camps:
Etosha National Park in northern Namibia offers you the chance to spot game in a wonderful natural setting. Enjoy a fascinating African wildlife adventure in Namibia during day and night game drives or watch wild animals like Hippo, Giraffe and Lion on the waterholes with amphitheatre-like atmosphere and floodlights at the Rest Camps inside Etosha National Park. In the evening, watch a herd of about thirty Elephants slowly trampling towards the waterhole right in front of you. One Elephant first checks out if the waterhole is safe, then the whole herd, with babies in tow, follows. You may see them putting their trunks in the muddy water and spraying themselves until they look white.
You can hear a click-clack, click-clack-sound at the waterhole. It’s a little Baby Rhino on its way to have a drink and bath, followed by its mother and some springboks. Enjoy the wonderful view of the tall necks of Giraffes slowly moving in front of the red shimmer of the setting sun. You have a great chance of viewing some jackals in the Etosha Rest Camps at night. A day of game-viewing in Etosha National Park in Namibia is already exciting. But for those, who don’t get a thrill seeing a roaring Lion in a close-up or some Hyenas hunting (and finally getting) a Springbok, there are other opportunities offered in the adventure destination Namibia. |
